Hello, TRAVELERS FAR AND WIDE!

As a Buffalo Native who recently returned, I was blown away by how much the city has changed and all there is to see and do. Buffalo is home to a resurgent culture, world-class food, an amazing biking community, and some of the most endearing people anywhere.

While I love being back in my hometown, I noticed that most local tour offerings left a lot to be desired. Downtown was full of party bikes, double decker buses, segways, and dry architectural tours – but I saw a need to create a tour company that would stand out with true authenticity.

Much to my surprise, it worked! More than 250+ people showed up for our first two months of tours in 2018 and their enthusiasm inspired me to think about how to grow bigger and better in 2019. This year, we’re excited to partner with Hostel Buffalo-Niagara and GObike, all the while maintaining our humble and homespun approach.

Ride on,
- Tour Guide Marc

MarC MOSCATO

I’m Marc, and I’m founder of Buffalo Bike Tours. For the last 15 years, I've made my career in public history. Last summer, I decided to move back home to be closer to family and started leading free, donation-based tours. I wrote songs, brought poems to read, shared jokes, and showed people some of my favorite places while breaking down some of Buffalo’s negative perceptions. I'm passionate about biking and Buffalo – and invite you to experience the city by on two wheels – before it snows!

TYLER MADELL

Hi! I'm Tyler, a native of the City of Buffalo. There's no better way to experience the world than on a bicycle, and there's definitely no better way to see Buffalo. I've been biking around Buffalo almost everyday - sun, rain, or snow - since I was in 8th grade. Besides leading Buffalo Bike Tours, I am a full time student - in the middle of the Masters in Urban Planning program at the University at Buffalo. I'm also the Program Manager at my family's teen bicycle touring/summer camp program called Teen Treks. Through Teen Treks I have been leading teens on multi-day bike tours every summer for nearly a decade now. Looking forward to meeting y'all and pedaling with you around town!

SOME HISTORY, HEALTH (THE BIKING), AND SOME COMMUNITY, WHILE LEARNING (AND SINGING, AND HEARING A POEM) ABOUT SUBTLE SITES IN BUFFALO’S HISTORY—INTERESTING FOR CITIZENS AND VISITORS ALIKE. I ENJOYED ALL ASPECTS OF IT. I’LL BE INTERESTED TO WATCH BUFFALO BIKE TOURS GROW!

A REFRESHING LOOK AT MANY OF BUFFALO’S NEIGHBORHOODS, THIS TOUR TRAVERSES DOWNTOWN, EAST SIDE, WEST SIDE, AND THE MANY FORGOTTEN STORIES THAT HAVE MADE BUFFALO THE CITY IT IS TODAY. GREAT FOR BUFFALOVERS, HISTORY BUFFS, BIKE ENTHUSIASTS, AND EVERYONE IN BETWEEN!
